Notes On Playing MP3 Files

Maxim um nu mber of folders. (The rad io display of file
nam es and folder nam es is limited . For large nu mbers
of files and / or folders, the rad io may be unable to
display the file nam e and folder nam e and will assign
a nu mber instead . With a maxim um nu mber of files,
exceed ing 20 folders will resu lt in this display. With
200 files, exceed ing 50 folders will resu lt in this
display.)
The rad io can play MP3 files; how ever, accep table MP3
file record ing media and form ats are limited . When
writing MP3 files, pay attention to the follow ing restric-
tions.

Supported Media (Disc Types)
The MP3 file record ing media supported by the rad io are
CDDA, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, and CDDA+MP3.
Supported Medium Form ats (File System s)
The medium form ats supported by the rad io are ISO 9660 • Maxim um nu mber of characters in file/ folder nam es:
Level 1 and Level 2 and inclu des the Joliet extension.

Level 1: 12 (inclu ding a separator Љ.Љ and a three-
character extension)
When read ing discs record ed using form ats other than
ISO 9660 Level 1 and Level 2, the rad io may fail to read
files prop erly and may be unable to play the file nor-
mally. UDF and Apple HFS form ats are not supported .
