Guard against carbon monoxid e with prop er mainte-
nance. Have the exhau st system insp ected every time
the vehicle is raised . Have any abnorm al cond itions
rep aired prom ptly. Until rep aired , drive with all side
wind ows fully open.

Keep the swing gate closed when driving you r vehicle
to prevent carbon monoxid e and other poisonou s
exhau st gases from entering the vehicle.
Fuel Filler Cap
ADDING FUEL
Loose Fuel Filler Cap Message (gASCAP)
After fuel has been added, the vehicle diagnostic system
can determ ine if the fuel filler cap is possibly loose,
improp erly installed , or damaged . If the system detects a
malfunction, the “gASCAP” message will display in the
odometer display. Tighten the gas cap until a ЉclickingЉ
Fuel Filler Cap (Gas Cap)
The gas cap is located on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
If the gas cap is lost or damaged , be sure the rep lacem ent
cap is the correct one for this vehicle.
