NOTE: There are step s that you can take to slow down JACKING AND TIRE CHANGING
an impend ing overheat cond ition:

If you r air cond itioner (A/ C) is on, turn it off. The A/ C
system adds heat to the engine cooling system and
turning the A/ C can help rem ove this heat.

You could be crushed. Never get any part of you r
body under a veh icle that is on a jack . If you need
to get under a raised veh icle, tak e it to a service
center where it can be raised on a lift.
The jack is design ed to use as a tool for changin g
tires only. The jack should not be used to lift the 6
veh icle for service purposes. The veh icle should
be jack ed on a firm level surface only. Avoid ice or
slip pery areas.

You can also turn the Temperatu re Control to maxi-
mum heat, the Mod e Control to floor and the Fan
Control to high. This allow s the heater core to act as a
supplement to the rad iator and aid s in rem oving heat
from the engine cooling system .
