Shift the autom atic transm ission into DRIVE or release
CAUTIO N!
Damage to the tran smission may occur if the tran s-
mission is shifted into PARK with the tran sfer case in
N (Neutral) and the engin e running. With the tran s-
fer case in N (Neutral) ensure that the engin e is off
prior to shiftin g the tran smission into PARK (refer to
step s 8 – 9 above).
NOTE: When shifting out of transfer case N (Neutral)
on autom atic transm ission-equ ipped vehicles, turning
the engine off may be requ ired to avoid gear clash.
CAUTIO N!
•
Do not use a bumper-m ounted clam p-on tow bar
on you r veh icle. The bumper face bar will be
damaged .

Shiftin g Out of Neutral (N)
Use the follow ing proced ure to prep are you r vehicle for
norm al usage.
1.
Turn the engine off.
2.
Shift the autom atic transm ission into NEUTRAL or
press clutch pedal on a manu al transm ission.
3.
4.
Shift the transfer case lever into the desired position.
Start the engine.
