THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE
Airb ag System Com ponents
The airbag system consists of the follow ing:

Relyin g on the airb ags alon e could lead to more
severe injuries in a collision . The airb ags work
with you r seat belt to restrain you prop erly. In
som e collision s, the airb ags won’t deploy at all.
Alw ays wear you r seat belts even though you have
airb ags.
Bein g too close to the steerin g wheel or instru ment
panel durin g airb ag deploym ent could cause seri-
ous injury. Airb ags need room to inflate. Sit back,
comfortab ly exten ding you r arm s to reach the
steerin g wheel or instru ment panel.

Interconnecting Wiring
If the veh icle has sid e airb ags, they also need room
to inflate. Do not lean again st the door. Sit uprigh t
in the center of the seat.
