drop s below 35 mph (40 km/ h), the ESP system shu ts off.
The ESP is off at low vehicle speed s in 4L range so that it
will not interfere with off-road driving, but the ESP
function retu rns to provid e the stability featu re at speed s
above 40 mph (48 km/ h). The “ESP/ TCS Ind icator
Light” will alw ays be illuminated in 4L range when ESP
is off.
WARN ING!
With the ESP switch ed off, the enhanced veh icle
stab ility offered by ESP and ERM are unavailab le. In
an emergen cy evasive maneuver, the ESP and ERM
system s will not engage to assist in main tain ing
stab ility. The “Full Off” ESP mode is inten ded for
off-road use only.
NOTE: The “ESP OFF” message will display and the
audible chim e will sou nd when the shift lever is placed in
the PARK position from any position other than PARK,
