The system will not activate if the vehicle is placed in
NEUTRAL.

The system will work in REVERSE, forw ard gears, and
NEUTRAL on manu al transm ission equ ipped vehicles.
The system does not recognize NEUTRAL on manu al
vehicles, thu s it will hold the vehicle on an incline for a
short period while in NEUTRAL, regard less of clutch
position. To prevent this, do not attem pt to roll down a
hill simply by putting the transm ission in NEUTRAL and
letting gravity act on the vehicle, as the HSA will prevent
the vehicle from rolling. Instead , use the approp riate gear
for moving in the desired direction.

hill and this could cause a collision with anoth er
veh icle or object behind you . In ord er to avoid
rollin g down the hill while resu ming acceleration ,
