NOTE: Mixing engine coolant (antifreeze) typ es will
decrease the life of the engine coolant (antifreeze) and
will requ ire more frequ ent engine coolant (antifreeze)
changes.

coolin g system pressu re cap are a safety precau tion .
Never add engin e coolan t (antifreeze) when the en-
gin e is overh eated . Do not loosen or rem ove the cap
to cool an overh eated engin e. Heat causes pressu re to
build up in the coolin g system . To preven t scald ing
or injury, do not rem ove the pressu re cap while the
system is hot or under pressu re.
Coolin g System Pressu re Cap
The cap must be fully tightened to prevent loss of engine
coolant (antifreeze), and to ensu re that engine coolant
(antifreeze) will retu rn to the rad iator from the coolant
reserve tank.
The cap shou ld be insp ected and cleaned if there is any
accumulation of foreign material on the sealing surfaces. Disp osal of Used Engin e Coolan t
Used ethylene glycol based engine coolant (antifreeze) is

a regu lated substance requ iring prop er disposal. Check
with you r local authorities to determ ine the disposal
rules for you r community. To prevent ingestion by ani-
mals or child ren, do not store ethylene glycol based
engine coolant (antifreeze) in open containers or allow it
