tire inflation proced ures.

Do not interconnect the hyd rau lic brake system or
vacu um system of you r vehicle with that of the trailer.
This could cause inad equ ate braking and possible
personal injury.

Check the trailer tires for prop er tire inflation pres-
sures before trailer usage.

An electronically-actu ated trailer brake controller is
requ ired when tow ing a trailer with electronically
actu ated brakes. When tow ing a trailer equ ipped with
a hyd rau lic surge-actu ated brake system , an electronic
brake controller is not requ ired .
Check for signs of tire wear or visible tire damage
before tow ing a trailer. Refer to “Tires–General Infor-
mation” in this section for the prop er insp ection pro-
cedure.
