Front bulkhead assembly
Remove
1.
Disconnect both battery leads, negative lead
first.

Disconnect leads/multiplug from alternator.
Remove front wing.
EXTERIOR FITTINGS, REPAIRS,

Wing - front - up to 03MY.

Remove washer reservoir.
WIPERS AND WASHERS, REPAIRS,
Reservoir - washer - up to 03MY.
+
Models with A/C: Remove condensor.
+
AIR CONDITIONING, REPAIRS,
1.
Remove existing panel(s), prepare panel joint
faces and install new panel(s) in accordance
with Panel Replacement Procedure. Punch or
drill holes in new panel for plug welding as
shown.
Condenser.

Diesel models: Remove gearbox fluid cooler.
Remove RH and LH headlamps.

LIGHTING, REPAIRS, Headlamp - up
to 03MY.
8.
Release headlamp levelling motors and
position aside.
Refit
1.
2.
Fit centre braces.

Release headlamp wiring and position aside.
Remove battery.
Fit 2 bolts securing bulkhead to chassis and
tighten to 45 Nm (33 lbf.ft).
Fit VIN plate.
Fit bonnet locking mechanism.
Fit bonnet release cable.
Fit crush cans.

Remove battery tray.
Remove air filter assembly.

Models with A/C: Fit A/C pipes.
Fit RH horn.
Td5, REPAIRS, Air filter assembly.

ALARM SYSTEM AND HORN,
V8, REPAIRS, Air cleaner assembly.
Remove 2 earth leads from LH of front
bulkhead.
REPAIR, Vehicle horn.

Fit 2 earth leads to LH of front bulkhead.
Fit air filter assembly.
Remove RH horn.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM -

ALARM SYSTEM AND HORN,
Td5, REPAIRS, Air filter assembly.
REPAIR, Vehicle horn.
Models with A/C: Release and remove A/C
pipes.
Remove RH and LH crush cans.
Remove bonnet release cable.
Support bonnet in open position
Remove bonnet locking mechanism.
Remove VIN plate.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM -

V8, REPAIRS, Air cleaner assembly.
Fit battery tray.

Fit battery. Do not connect leads.

Fit headlamp wiring and headlamp levelling
motors.

Remove 2 bolts securing front bulkhead
assembly to chassis.
Remove centre braces.
Fit RH and LH headlamps.
