Remove crankshaft rear oil seal.

Remove timing gear cover gasket.

Check clearance between connecting rods on
each crankshaft journal.
l Connecting rod clearance = 0.15 to 0.36
mm (0.006 to 0.014 in).

Fit oil pick up strainer.

Remove timing chain and gears.
