PANEL REPAIRS
Repair
Body side inner rear assembly
In this procedure, the panel body side assembly is
replaced in conjunction with the body side inner rear
assembly.
Remove
1.

Disconnect battery eath lead.
Disconnect leads/multiplug from alternator.
Remove panel body side assembly.

Remove RH or LH rear seat.
SEATS, REPAIRS, Seat - rear.

Remove loadspace carpet.
+
INTERIOR TRIM COMPONENTS,
M77 1698A
REPAIRS, Carpet - loadspace.
1.
Remove existing panel(s), prepare panel joint
faces and install new panel(s) in accordance
with Panel Replacement Procedure. Punch or
drill holes in new panel for plug welding as
shown.

Remove rear side seat belt.

RESTRAINT SYSTEMS, REPAIRS,
Seat belt - rear - side.
Remove third row seat belt.

RESTRAINT SYSTEMS, REPAIRS,
Seat belts - third row.
Refit

Remove fuel tank.

FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM - V8,
Fit and secure wiring.
RH side: Fit air extractor vent.
RH side: Fit fuel flap release solenoid.
REPAIRS, Tank - fuel.

REPAIRS, Solenoid - fuel filler flap release.

Remove fuel filler tube.

REPAIRS, Filler tube - fuel.

Fit fuel filler tube.

RH side: Remove fuel flap release solenoid.

REPAIRS, Filler tube - fuel.
REPAIRS, Solenoid - fuel filler flap release.

Fit fuel tank.

REPAIRS, Solenoid - fuel filler flap release.
RH side: Remove air extractor vent.
Remove relevant wiring.
REPAIRS, Tank - fuel.

Fit third row seat belt.

Fit rear side seat belt.

Fit loadspace carpet.

Fit rear seat.
SEATS, REPAIRS, Seat - rear.

Connect leads/multiplug to alternator.
Connect battery leads, negative lead last.
