electronics inthevehicle. Ifyouaddelectrical
partsoraccessories, youcouldchangetheway
theengineoperates. Beforeaddingelectrical
equipment, checkwithyourdealer/retailer. Ifyou
donot,theenginemightnotperformproperly.
Anyresulting damagewouldnotbecoveredbythe
vehiclewarranty.
Whentheenginestarts,letgooftheaccelerator.Ifthe
vehiclestartsbrieflybutthenstopsagain,dothesame
thing.Thisclearstheextragasoline fromtheengine.
StoppingtheEngine
ThevehiclehasaComputer-Controlled Cranking
System.Thisfeatureassistsinstarting theengineand
protects components. Oncecranking hasbeeninitiated,
theenginecontinues cranking forafewsecondsor
untilthevehiclestarts.Iftheenginedoesnotstart,
cranking automatically stopsafter15secondsto
preventcranking motordamage.Topreventgear
damage,thissystemalsoprevents cranking ifthe
engineisalreadyrunning.
MovetheshiftlevertoP(Park)andpresstheAcc.
buttonlocatedontheinstrument panel.Iftheshifteris
notinP(Park),theengineshutsoffandthevehicle
goesintotheAccessory Mode.TheDICdisplays SHIFT
TOPARK.OncetheshifterismovedtoP(Park),the
vehicleturnsoff.
TheDICdisplays NOFOB,OFFORRUN?,ifthe
keylessaccesstransmitter isnotdetected insidethe
vehiclewhenitisturnedoff.
