Afteraveryminorcrash,nothingmaybenecessary.
Butthesafetybeltassemblies   thatwereusedduring
anycrashmayhavebeenstressed   ordamaged. See
yourdealer/retailer tohavethesafetybeltassemblies
inspected orreplaced.

IfthevehiclehastheLATCHsystemanditwas
beingusedduringacrash,youmayneednew
LATCHsystemparts.
Acrashcandamagetherestraint   systemsinyour
vehicle. Adamagedrestraint systemmaynot
properly protectthepersonusingit,resulting   in
seriousinjuryorevendeathinacrash.Tohelp
makesureyourrestraint  systemsareworking
properly afteracrash,havetheminspected   and
anynecessary replacements madeassoonas
possible.
Newpartsandrepairsmaybenecessary    evenifthe
safetybeltorLATCHsystem(ifequipped),    wasnot
beingusedatthetimeofthecrash.
Ifanairbaginflates,  youwillneedtoreplaceairbag
systemparts.Seethepartontheairbagsystemearlier
inthissection.
Havethesafetybeltpretensioners   checkedifthe
vehiclehasbeeninacrash,iftheairbagreadiness     light
staysonafterthevehicleisstarted,    orwhileyouare
driving. SeeAirbagReadiness Light on page 4‑54.
Ifthevehiclehasbeeninacrash,doyouneednew
safetybeltsorLATCHsystem(ifequipped)    parts?
