Options
Circuitbreakersinthefuseblockprotectthepower
windowsandotherpoweraccessories. Whenthe
currentloadistooheavy,thecircuitbreakeropensand
closes,protecting thecircuituntiltheproblemisfixedor
goesaway.
HeadlampWiring
Theheadlamp wiringisprotected byfusesinthefuse
block.Anelectrical overload willcausethelampstoturn
off.Ifthishappens,havetheheadlampwiringchecked
rightaway.
FusesandCircuitBreakers
Thewiringcircuits inthevehicleareprotected from
shortcircuits byacombination offuses,circuitbreakers
andfusiblethermallinks.Thisgreatlyreducesthe
chanceoffirescausedbyelectrical problems.
WindshieldWiperFuses
Thewindshield wipermotorisprotected byaninternal
circuitbreaker.Ifthewipermotoroverheats dueto
heavysnow,thewiperswillstopuntilthemotorcools
andwillthenrestart.
Lookatthesilver-colored bandinsidethefuse.Ifthe
bandisbrokenormelted,replacethefuse.Besureyou
replaceabadfusewithanewoneoftheidentical size
andrating.
Fusesofthesameamperagecanbetemporarily
borrowedfromanotherfuselocation, ifafusegoesout.
Replacethefuseassoonasyoucan.
