Thislightcomesonduringamalfunction inoneof
twoways:
Malfunctions oftenareindicated bythesystembefore
anyproblemisapparent. Beingawareofthelightcan
preventmoreseriousdamagetothevehicle. This
systemassiststheservicetechnician incorrectly
diagnosing anymalfunction.
LightFlashing : Amisfirecondition hasbeen
detected. Amisfireincreases vehicleemissions and
coulddamagetheemissioncontrolsystemonthe
vehicle. Diagnosis andservicemightberequired.
Notice: Ifthevehicleiscontinually drivenwiththis
lighton,afterawhile,theemissioncontrols might
notworkaswell,thevehicle's fueleconomymight
notbeasgood,andtheenginemightnotrunas
smoothly.Thiscouldleadtocostlyrepairsthat
mightnotbecoveredbythevehiclewarranty.
