{WARNING:
Yourvehiclehasthepassenger   sensingsystem.
Youroverhead consolehasapassenger  airbagstatus
indicator.
Iftheairbagreadiness  lightstaysonafterthe
vehicleisstartedorcomesonwhiledriving,    it
meanstheairbagsystemmightnotbeworking
properly.Theairbagsinthevehiclemightnot
inflateinacrash,ortheycouldeveninflate
withoutacrash.Tohelpavoidinjury,havethe
vehicleserviced rightaway.
Ifthereisaproblemwiththeairbagsystem,anairbag
DriverInformation Center(DIC)messagecanalso
comeon.SeeDICWarningsandMessages    on
page 4‑76 formoreinformation.

Whenyoustartthevehicle,   thepassenger airbagstatus
indicator willlightONandOFF,orthesymbolforonand
off,forseveralsecondsasasystemcheck.Ifyouuse
remotestarttostartyourvehiclefromadistance,     ifyour
vehiclehasthisfeature,  youmaynotseethesystem
check.
