D(Drive) : Thisposition isfornormaldriving.
Itprovides thebestfueleconomy.Ifyouneedmore
powerforpassing,  andyouare:
Atlowvehiclespeeds,youcanalsouseR(Reverse)     to
rockyourvehiclebackandforthtogetoutofsnow,ice,
orsandwithoutdamaging  thetransmission. SeeIfYour

Goinglessthan35mph(55km/h),pushthe
accelerator pedalabouthalfwaydown.
Goingabout35mph(55km/h)ormore,pushthe
accelerator allthewaydown.
N(Neutral) : Inthisposition,  theenginedoesnot
connectwiththewheels.Torestarttheenginewhenthe
vehicleisalreadymoving,useN(Neutral)    only.Youcan
alsouseN(Neutral)  whenthevehicleisbeingtowed.
Thetransmission willshiftdowntoalowergear
andhavemorepower.

conditions couldresultinskidding,  seeSkidding
LossofControlonpage5‑14.
