(mayinflate) therightfrontpassenger's frontalairbag
anytimethesystemsensesthatapersonofadultsizeis
sittingproperly intherightfrontpassenger's seat.When
thepassenger sensingsystemhasallowedtheairbag
tobeenabled, theonindicator willlightandstaylitto
remindyouthattheairbagisactive.
Forsomechildrenwhohaveoutgrown childrestraints
andforverysmalladults,thepassenger sensing
systemmayormaynotturnofftherightfront
passenger's frontalairbag,depending uponthe
person's seatingpostureandbodybuild.Everyone in
yourvehiclewhohasoutgrown childrestraints should
wearasafetybeltproperly —whetherornotthereisan
airbagforthatperson.
Ifapersonofadult-size issittingintherightfront
passenger's seat,buttheoffindicator islit,itcouldbe
becausethatpersonisnotsittingproperly intheseat.
Ifthishappens, turnthevehicleoff,removeany
additional material fromtheseat,suchasblankets,
cushions, seatcovers,seatheatersorseatmassagers
andaskthepersontoplacetheseatbackinthefully
uprightposition, thensituprightintheseat,centered on
theseatcushion, withtheperson's legscomfortably
extended. Restartthevehicleandhavetheperson
remaininthisposition fortwotothreeminutes. Thiswill
allowthesystemtodetectthatpersonandthenenable
therightfrontpassenger's frontalairbag.
Safetybeltshelpkeepthepassenger inposition onthe
seatduringvehiclemaneuvers andbraking, whichhelps
thepassenger sensingsystemmaintainthepassenger
