OtherMessages
TherearethreemessagesthatmayappearontheDIC.
TheyareSERVICERADARCRUISE,RADARCRUISE
NOTREADYandCLEANRADAR.Thesemessages
willappeartoindicate  aproblemwiththeAdaptive
CruiseControl. SeeDICWarningsandMessages   on
page 4‑76 formoreinformation.
Theexterior lampcontrolislocatedinthemiddleofthe
turnsignal/multifunction lever.
CleaningtheSystem
O(Exterior LampControl) : Turnthecontrolwiththis
symbolonittooperatetheexterior    lamps.
Theradarcanbecomeblockedbysnow,ice,ordirt.
Ifthishappens,  turnofftheengineandcleanthe
emblem/lens, locatedinthecenterofthefrontoutside
grille. DonotuseAdaptive  CruiseControlinicy
conditions, orwhenvisibility islow,suchasinfog,rain
orsnow.
Theexterior lampcontrolhasfourpositions:
O(Off):  Turnsoffalllampsandautomatic   lighting
features, including DaytimeRunningLamps(DRL)and
IntelliBeam™.
Thisisamomentary  switchthatspringsbacktothe
AUTOposition whenreleased. AnAUTOMATIC
LIGHTSONmessageappearsontheDICwhen
automatic lightsareenabledoranAUTOMATIC
LIGHTSOFFmessageappearsontheDICwhenthe
automatic lightsaredisabled.
Tocleantheemblem/lens,  wipethesurfacewithasoft
cloth.Aftercleaningtheemblem/lens,   engagethe
Adaptive CruiseControl. Ifyouareunabletodoso,
seeyourdealer/retailer.
