Afterresetting theCHANGEENGINEOILSOON
messagebyclearing itfromthedisplay,resetthe
engineoillifesystemseparately.Formoreinformation
onresetting theengineoillifesystem,seeEngineOil
LifeSystemonpage6‑21.
Thismessagedisplays whentheelectrical systemis
charging lessthan10voltsorthebattery hasbeen
drained.
Ifthismessageappearsimmediately afterstarting the
engine,itispossiblethatthegenerator canstill
recharge thebattery.Thebatteryshouldrechargewhile
driving, butmaytakeafewhourstodoso.Consider
usinganauxiliary chargertoboostthebatteryafter
returning homeortoafinaldestination. Followthe
manufacturer's instructions.
CHECKBRAKEFLUID
Thismessagedisplays iftheignition isontoinformthe
driverthatthebrakefluidlevelislow.Havethebrake
systemserviced byyourdealer/retailer assoonas
possible. SeeBrakeSystemWarningLight on
page 4‑58 formoreinformation.
Ifthismessageappearswhiledrivingorafterstarting
yourvehicleandstayson,haveitcheckedimmediately
todetermine thecauseofthisproblem.
CHECKGASCAP
Thismessagedisplays whenthefuelcaphasnotbeen
fullytightened. Recheckthefuelcaptoensurethatitis
onandtightened properly.
Tohelpthegenerator recharge thebatteryquickly,
reducetheloadontheelectrical systembyturningoff
theaccessories.
