Stability controlactivates whenthecomputersensesa
difference betweentheintended pathandthedirection
thevehicleisactually traveling. Stability control
automatically adjuststhefrontroadwheelsteering
angle,modifies thesuspension stiffness, andselectively
appliesbrakingpressure atanyoneofthevehicle’s
brakestohelpmaintaindirectional controlofthe
vehicle.
IfcruisecontrolisbeingusedwhenStabiliTrak
activates, itwillautomatically disengage. Cruisecontrol

Whenthesystemactivates, aSTABILITYSYSACTIVE
messagedisplays ontheDriverInformation Center

Itisnormaltohearanoiseorfeelvibration inthebrake
pedalwhenthesystemisworking. Continue tosteerthe
vehicleintheintended direction.
EnhancedStabiliTrak®
All‐wheel‐drive(AWD)vehicles withtheActiveSteering
withEnhancedStabiliTrak optionhaveanenhanced
computercontrolled vehiclestability systemthatassists
withdirectional controlofthevehicleindifficult driving
conditions. Thissystemcoordinates automatic controlof
theActiveSteering System,theMagnetic RideControl
Suspension System,andtheBrakeControlSystemfor
bettervehicleperformance.
IfcruisecontrolisengagedwhenEnhancedStabiliTrak
activates, thecruisecontrolwillautomatically
disengage. Re-engage cruisecontrolwhenroad

information.
EnhancedStabiliTrak comesonautomatically inthe
Stability TouringMode,whenthevehicleisstarted.
TheStability TouringModeisrecommended fornormal
driving.
Duringextremecoldtemperature conditions, theactive
steering functionmaybetemporarily disabledwhich
maycausethesteeringwheeltobeoffsetfromthe
centerposition whiledrivingstraight. Thisisnormal
operation andthevehicleissafetodriveinthese
cases.
