If,afterseveralseconds,bothstatusindicator    lights
remainon,oriftherearenolightsatall,theremaybea
problemwiththelightsorthepassenger    sensing
system.Seeyourdealer/retailer  forservice.
ChargingSystemLight
Thislightcomesonbriefly
whentheignition  keyis
turnedtoSTART,butthe
engineisnotrunning,  as
achecktoshowitis
working.
{WARNING:
Iftheairbagreadiness  lightintheinstrument
panelclusterevercomesonandstayson,it
meansthatsomething  maybewrongwiththe
airbagsystem.Ifthiseverhappens,   havethe
vehicleserviced promptly,becauseanadult-size
personsittingintherightfrontpassenger's    seat
maynothavetheprotection   oftheairbag(s). See
AirbagReadiness Light on page 4‑54 formore
onthis,including  important safetyinformation.
Ifitdoesnot,havethevehicleserviced    byyour
dealer/retailer.
Thelightshouldgooutoncetheenginestarts.Ifitstays
on,orcomesonwhiledriving,   therecouldbeaproblem
withthecharging  system.Acharging systemmessage
intheDriverInformation  Center(DIC)canalsoappear.
SeeDICWarningsandMessages   on page 4‑76 for
moreinformation. Thislightcouldindicate  thatthereare
problems withagenerator drivebelt,orthatthereisan
electrical problem. Haveitcheckedrightaway.Ifthe
vehiclemustbedrivenashortdistance    withthe
lighton,turnoffaccessories,   suchastheradioand
airconditioner.
