liquidtiresealant.  Usingnon-approved tiresealants
coulddamagetheTPMSsensors.   SeeTireSealant

page 6‑78 orTireSealantandCompressor  Kit
(WithSelector Switch) on page 6‑87 forinformation
regarding theinflator kitmaterials andinstructions.

TheTPMSsensormatchingprocesswasstarted
butnotcompleted  ornotcompleted successfully
afterrotating thevehicle's tires.TheDICmessage
andTPMSmalfunction  lightshouldgooffoncethe
TPMSsensormatching  processisperformed
successfully.See“TPMSSensorMatching
Process”laterinthissection.

OneormoreTPMSsensorsaremissingor
damaged. TheDICmessageandtheTPMS
malfunction lightshouldgooffwhentheTPMS
sensorsareinstalled  andthesensormatching
processisperformed  successfully.Seeyour
dealer/retailer forservice.
TPMSMalfunctionLightandMessage
TheTPMSwillnotfunction   properly ifoneormoreof
theTPMSsensorsaremissingorinoperable.    Whenthe
systemdetectsamalfunction,  thelowtirewarninglight
flashesforaboutoneminuteandthenstaysonforthe
remainder oftheignition cycle.ADICwarningmessage
isalsodisplayed.  ThelowtirewarninglightandDIC
warningmessagecomeonateachignition    cycleuntil
theproblemiscorrected.  Someoftheconditions  that
cancausethemalfunction  lightandDICmessageto
comeonare:
Replacement tiresorwheelsdonotmatchyour
vehicle's original equipment tiresorwheels.Tires
andwheelsotherthanthoserecommended   for
yourvehiclecouldpreventtheTPMSfrom
functioning properly.SeeBuyingNewTires  on
page 6‑70.

Oneoftheroadtireshasbeenreplaced    withthe
sparetire,ifthevehiclehasone.Thesparetire
doesnothaveaTPMSsensor.TheDICmessage
shouldgooffonceyoure‐installtheroadtire
containing theTPMSsensor.
Operating electronic devicesorbeingnearfacilities
usingradiowavefrequencies  similartotheTPMS
couldcausetheTPMSsensorstomalfunction.
IftheTPMSisnotfunctioning   itcannotdetectorsignal
alowtirecondition.  Seeyourdealer/retailer  forservice
iftheTPMSmalfunction  lightandDICmessagecomes
onandstayson.
