Donotletitgettwisted.
Thelap-shoulder beltmaylockifyoupullthebelt
acrossyouveryquickly.Ifthishappens, letthebelt
gobackslightly tounlockit.Thenpullthebelt
acrossyoumoreslowly.
Ifyoueverpulltheshoulder portionofapassenger
beltoutalltheway,youmayengagethechild
restraint lockingfeature. Ifthishappens, justletthe
beltgobackallthewayandstartagain.

Pushthelatchplateintothebuckleuntilitclicks.
Pulluponthelatchplatetomakesureitissecure.
Ifthebeltisnotlongenough,seeSafetyBelt
Extender on page 2‑28.
Makesurethereleasebuttononthebuckleis
positioned soyouwouldbeabletounbucklethe
safetybeltquicklyifnecessary.
Ifequipped withashoulder beltheightadjuster,
moveittotheheightthatisrightforyou.Improper
shoulder beltheightadjustment couldreducethe
effectiveness ofthesafetybeltinacrash.See
