readiness lightisworking. SeeAirbagReadiness  Light

CheckingtheRestraintSystems
SafetyBelts
Nowandthen,checkthatthesafetybeltreminder     light,
safetybelts,buckles,  latchplates,retractors, and
anchorages areallworkingproperly.
Notice: Ifanairbagcovering  isdamaged, opened,
orbroken,theairbagmaynotworkproperly.Donot
openorbreaktheairbagcoverings.   Ifthereareany
openedorbrokenairbagcovers,havetheairbag
coveringand/orairbagmodulereplaced.   Forthe
location oftheairbagmodules,  seeWhatMakesan
AirbagInflate? onpage 2‑59.Seeyourdealer/
retailer forservice.
Lookforanyotherlooseordamagedsafetybeltsystem
partsthatmightkeepasafetybeltsystemfromdoingits
job.Seeyourdealer/retailer  tohaveitrepaired.  Tornor
frayedsafetybeltsmaynotprotectyouinacrash.They
canripapartunderimpactforces.Ifabeltistornor
frayed,getanewonerightaway.
