BONNET
DECKER PANEL

Remove
1.
Disconnect battery negative lead.
1.  Disconnect battery negative lead.
2.
Remove bonnet[hood].  See  Bonnet
2.
Disconnect electrical leads to under
bonnet[hood] lamp and heated washer jets.
Disconnect windscreen washer tube at ’T’ joint.
With assistance release four bolts securing
bonnet[hood] to hinges. Note ground strap
located onto left hinge for reassembly. Lift
bonnet[hood] clear of vehicle.
3.  Remove wiper arms and two nuts securing
wheel boxes to decker[cowl] panel. Remove two
exterior sealing rubbers.
4.  Remove nine screws securing front of
decker[cowl] panel.

Refit
5.
Fit bonnet[hood] ensure ground strap is refitted.
Before final tightening of bolts align bonnet[hood]
with decker[cowl] panel, wing[fender] and front
grille.
6.
Reverse removal procedure.
