theroof-rail airbagsarenotaffectedbythepassenger
sensingsystem.
Thevehiclehasapassenger sensingsystemforthe
rightfrontpassenger position. Thepassenger airbag
statusindicator willbevisibleontheoverhead console
whenthevehicleisstarted.
Thepassenger sensingsystemworkswithsensors
thatarepartoftherightfrontpassenger seat.The
sensorsaredesignedtodetectthepresence ofa
properly-seated occupant anddetermine iftheright
frontpassenger frontalairbagandseat‐mountedside
impactairbagshouldbeenabled(mayinflate) ornot.
According toaccident statistics, children aresaferwhen
properly securedinarearseatinthecorrectchild
restraint fortheirweightandsize.

Werecommend thatchildren besecuredinarearseat,
including: aninfantorachildridinginarear-facing child
restraint; achildridinginaforward-facing childseat;an
olderchildridinginaboosterseat;andchildren, who
arelargeenough,usingsafetybelts.
ThewordsONandOFF,orthesymbolforonandoff,
arevisibleduringthesystemcheck.Ifyouareusing
remotestart,ifequipped, tostartthevehiclefroma
distance, youmaynotseethesystemcheck.Whenthe
systemcheckiscomplete, eitherthewordONorOFF,
orthesymbolforonoroff,willbevisible. See
