TestingtheAlarm
1.
Frominsidethevehicle, rolldownthewindow,then
getoutofthevehicle, keepingthedooropen.
2.
Fromoutsideofthevehicle, withthedooropen,
lockthevehicleusingthepowerdoorlockorthe
RKEsystemandclosethedoor.Wait30seconds
untilthesecurity lampgoesoff.
Toavoidarmingthealarmbyaccident:

Lockthevehiclewiththedoorkeyorthemanual
doorlock.
AlwaysunlockadoorwithakeyorusetheRKE
transmitter system.Pressing theunlockbuttonon
theRKEtransmitter,orunlocking adoorwiththe
keydisarmsthecontenttheft-deterrent system.
Unlocking adooranyotherwaywillactivate the
alarmwhenadoororthetrunkisopened.
3.
Reachinandunlockthedoorusingthemanual
lockandopenthedoor.Thehornwillsoundand
thehazardlightswillflash.
Youcanturnoffthealarmbyunlocking thedriver's door
withyourkey,usingtheunlockbuttonontheRKE
transmitter orbystarting thecarwithavalidkey.
Ifyouactivate thealarmbyaccident, unlockthedriver's
doorwithyourkey.Youcanalsoturnoffthealarmby
usingtheunlockbuttonontheRKEtransmitter system,
orbystarting thecarwithavalidkey.
Ifthealarmdoesnotsoundwhenitshould,checkto
seeifthehornworks.Thehornfusemaybeblown.

page6‑106.Ifthefusedoesnotneedtobereplaced,
youmayneedtohaveyourvehicleserviced.
