inflation pressure tothemaximuminflation pressure
shownonthetiresidewall,   or38psi(265kPa),
whichever islower.Seetheexamplefollowing.
Drivingathighspeeds,160km/h(100mph)
orhigher,putsanadditional   strainontires.
Sustained high-speed drivingcausesexcessive
heatbuildupandcancausesuddentirefailure.
Youcouldhaveacrashandyouorotherscould
bekilled.Somehigh-speed  ratedtiresrequire
inflation pressureadjustment forhighspeed
operation. Whenspeedlimitsandroadconditions
aresuchthatavehiclecanbedrivenathigh
speeds,makesurethetiresareratedforhigh
speedoperation, inexcellent condition, andset
tothecorrectcoldtireinflation   pressureforthe
vehicleload.
Example:
Youwillfindthemaximumloadandinflation    pressure
moldedonthetire'ssidewall,   insmallletters, nearthe
rimflange.Itwillreadsomething   likethis:Maximum
load690kg(1521lbs)@300kPa(44psi)Max.Press.
Forthisexample,  youwouldsettheinflation  pressure
forhighspeeddrivingat38psi(265kPa).
