airbagstatusindicator  willcomeonandstayonwhen
thevehicleisstarted.
Ifachildrestraint  hasbeeninstalled  andtheon
indicator islit,see“IftheOnIndicator   isLitfora
ChildRestraint ”underPassenger  SensingSystem on
page 2‑68 formoreinformation.
Toremovethechildrestraint,   unbuckle thevehicle
safetybeltandletitreturntothestowedposition.

Totightenthebelt,pushdownonthechild
restraint, pulltheshoulder portionofthebelt
totightenthelapportionofthebeltandfeed
theshoulder beltbackintotheretractor.When
installing aforward-facing childrestraint, itmay
behelpfultouseyourkneetopushdownonthe
childrestraint asyoutightenthebelt.
Pushandpullthechildrestraint   indifferent
directions tobesureitissecure.
