Whenanairbaginflates, theremaybedust
intheair.Thisdustcouldcausebreathing
problems forpeoplewithahistoryofasthma
orotherbreathing trouble. Toavoidthis,everyone
inthevehicleshouldgetoutassoonasitissafe
todoso.Ifyouhavebreathing problems but
cannotgetoutofthevehicleafteranairbag
inflates, thengetfreshairbyopeningawindowor
adoor.Ifyouexperience breathing problems
following anairbagdeployment, youshouldseek
medicalattention.
Thepartsoftheairbagthatcomeintocontactwithyou
maybewarm,butnottoohottotouch.Theremaybe
somesmokeanddustcomingfromtheventsinthe
deflated airbags. Airbaginflation doesnotpreventthe
driverfromseeingoutofthewindshield orbeingable
tosteerthevehicle, nordoesitpreventpeoplefrom
leavingthevehicle.
Thevehiclehasafeaturethatmayautomatically unlock
thedoors,turnontheinterior lampsandhazardwarning
flashers, andshutoffthefuelsystemaftertheairbags
inflate. Youcanlockthedoors,turnofftheinterior
lampsandhazardwarningflashers byusingthe
controls forthosefeatures.
