equipment tiresandthecorrectinflation pressure for

TPMSMalfunctionLightandMessage
TheTPMSwillnotfunction properly ifoneormoreof
theTPMSsensorsaremissingorinoperable. Whenthe
systemdetectsamalfunction, thelowtirewarninglight
flashesforaboutoneminuteandthenstaysonforthe
remainder oftheignition cycle.ADICwarningmessage
isalsodisplayed. ThelowtirewarninglightandDIC
warningmessagecomeonateachignition cycleuntil
theproblemiscorrected. Someoftheconditions that
cancausethemalfunction lightandDICmessageto
comeonare:
Yourvehicle's TPMScanwarnyouaboutalowtire
pressure condition butitdoesnotreplacenormaltire
maintenance. SeeTireInspection andRotation on
page 6‑67 andTiresonpage6‑50.
Notice: Usingnon‐approved tiresealants could
damagetheTirePressureMonitorSystem(TPMS)
sensors. TPMSsensordamagecausedbyusingan
incorrect tiresealantisnotcoveredbythevehicle
warranty.AlwaysusetheGMapproved tiresealant
available throughyourdealer.

Oneoftheroadtireshasbeenreplaced withthe
sparetire.ThesparetiredoesnothaveaTPMS
sensor.TheTPMSmalfunction lightandDIC
messageshouldgooffonceyoure‐installtheroad
tirecontaining theTPMSsensor.

TheTPMSsensormatchingprocesswasstarted
butnotcompleted ornotcompleted successfully
afterrotating thevehicle's tires.TheDICmessage
andTPMSmalfunction lightshouldgooffoncethe
TPMSsensormatching processisperformed

Process”laterinthissection.
Factory-installed TireInflator KitsuseaGMapproved
liquidtiresealant. Usingnon-approved tiresealants
coulddamagetheTPMSsensors. SeeTireSealantand
Compressor Kit on page 6‑77 forinformation regarding
theinflatorkitmaterials andinstructions.
