DisengagingACC
Toturnoffthesystem,applythebrakepedal,pressthe
cancelbutton,orpresstheACCbutton.
ErasingSetSpeedMemory
PresstheACCbuttonorturntheignition    off.
OtherMessages
Therearethreeadditional  messages thatmayappear
ontheDIC.TheyareSERVICERADARCRUISE,
RADARCRUISENOTREADYandCLEANRADAR.
Thesemessageswillappeartoindicate   aproblem
withtheACC.SeeDICWarningsandMessages    on
page 466 formoreinformation.
HowwellACCwillworkonhillsandwhentowinga
trailerdependsonyourvehicle's   speed,vehicleload,
trafficconditions andthesteepness  ofthehills.Itmay
notdetectavehicleinyourlanewhiledrivingonhills.
Whengoingupsteephills,youmaywanttousethe
accelerator pedaltomaintainyourvehicle's  speed.
Whengoingdownhill,  especially whentowingatrailer,
youmaywanttobraketokeepyourspeeddown.
Applying thebrakedisengages thesystem.Youmay
choosenottouseACConsteephills,especially     when
towingatrailer.
CleaningtheSystem
Theradarcanbecomeblockedbysnow,ice,ordirt.
Ifso,youmayneedtoturnofftheengineandcleanthe
lens.Remember,donotuseACCinicyconditions,
orwhenvisibility  islow,suchasinfog,rainorsnow.
Theemblem/lens islocatedinthecenterofthegrille.
Tocleantheemblem/lens,  wipethesurfacewithasoft
cloth.Aftercleaningtheemblem/lens,   trytoengagethe
ACC.Ifyouareunabletodoso,seeyourdealer.
