Tounlatchthebelt,pushthebuttononthebuckle.
Thebeltshouldreturntoitsstowedposition. Slidethe
latchplateupthesafetybeltwebbingwhenthesafety
beltisnotinuse.Thelatchplateshouldrestonthe
stitching neartheguidelooponthesidewall.
Beforeadoorisclosed,besurethesafetybeltisoutof
theway.Ifadoorisslammedagainstasafetybelt,
damagecanoccurtoboththebeltandthevehicle.

Tomakethelapparttight,pulluponthe
shoulder belt.
Itmaybenecessary topullstitching onthesafety
beltthroughthelatchplatetofullytightenthelap
beltonsmalleroccupants.
