Therearethreemessagesthatmayappearonthe
DriverInformation Center(DIC).TheyareCLEAN
RADAR,RADARCRUISENOTREADYandSERVICE

Thewindshield wiperleverislocatedontheleftsideof
thesteeringcolumn.
Turnthebandwiththewipersymbolonittocontrolthe
windshield wipers.
(Mist):
Forasinglewipingcycle,holditonmistuntil
CleaningtheSystem
thewipersstart,thenrelease. Thewipersstopafterone
wipe.Severalwipes,holdthebandlonger.
Theradarcanbecomeblockedbysnow,ice,ordirt.
Ifso,youmayneedtoturnofftheengineandcleanthe
lens.See“Cleaning theSystem”underAdaptive Cruise
Controlonpage4‑14.

(Delay): Usetosetthedelaytimebetweenwipe
cycles.Thewiperspeedcanbesetforalongorshort
delaybetweenwipes.Thecloserthebandissettothe
topofthelever,theshorterthedelay.
Flash-to-Pass
(LowSpeed): Slowwipes.
(HighSpeed): Fastwipes.
(Off): Turnsthewipersoff.
Thisfeatureletsyouusethehigh-beam headlamps to
signalthedriverinfrontofyouthatyouwanttopass.
Theflash-to-pass featurewillonlyworkwiththe
headlamps on.ItdoesnotworkwithDaytimeRunning
Lamps(DRL).
Cleariceandsnowfromthewiperbladesbeforeusing
them.Iffrozentothewindshield, carefully loosenor
thawthem.Damagedbladesshouldbereplaced.
Pullandholdtheturnsignallevertowardyoutouse.
Heavysnoworicecanoverload thewipermotor.
Acircuitbreakerwillstopthemotoruntilitcools.
Iftheheadlamps areonlowbeam,pullingtheturn
signaltowardsyouwillflashthehighbeams.
Thevehiclehaswiper-activated headlamps. Afterthe
windshield wipershavecompleted eightwipecycles
withinfourminutes, theheadlamps automatically turn
