Oils meeting this standard can be
identified assynthetic, and should
also beidentified with the American
Petroleum Institute (API) Certified for
Gasoline Engines starburst symbol.
However, notallsynthetic API oils
with thestarburst symbol will meet
this GMstandard. Look for and use
only oilthat meets GMStandard
GM4718M. For theproper viscosity,
