Presstheplusbuttontoincrease thedistance orthe
minusbuttontodecrease thedistance. Thefirstbutton
pressshowsthecurrentfollowdistance settingon
theDIC.Thecurrentfollowdistance settingwillbe
maintained untilitischanged.
PresstheSET–buttonuntilyoureachthelowerspeed
desired, thenreleaseit.
Toslowdowninverysmallamounts, brieflypressthe
SET–button. Eachtimethisisdone,thesetspeed
decreases by1km/h(1mph)slower.
Therearesixfollowdistances tochoosefrom.
Thefollowdistanceselection rangesfromnear
tofar(onesecondtotwosecondsfollowtime).The
distance maintained foraselected followdistance will
varybasedonvehiclespeed.Thefasterthevehicle
speedthefurtherbackyourvehiclewillfollow.Consider
trafficandweatherconditions whenselecting thefollow
distance. Therangeofselectable distances maynotbe
appropriate foralldriversanddrivingconditions. Ifyou
prefertotravelatafollowdistance fartherthanACC
allows,disengage thesystemanddrivemanually.
ResumingaSetSpeed
SupposetheACCissetatadesiredspeedandthen
thebrakesareapplied. ThiswillturnofftheACC.
Butitdoesnotneedtobereset.
Oncethevehiclespeedreachesabout40km/h
(25
mph)ormore,pressthe+RESbutton. ACCwill
beengagedwiththepreviously chosensetspeed.
SelectingtheFollowDistance(GAP)
Whenthesystemdetectsaslowermovingvehicle, it
willadjustyourvehicle's speedandmaintain thefollow
distance (gap)youselect.
Usetheplusandminusbuttonsonthesteering wheel
toadjustthefollowdistance.
