bythedriver,theSBZAmirrordisplays willnotlightup

TheSBZAdisplays mayremainonifatraileris
attached tothevehicle, orabicycleorobjectis
extending outtoeithersideofthevehicle.
WhenSBZAisdisabled foranyreasonotherthanthe
driverturningitoff,thedriverwillnotbeabletoturn
SBZAbackonusingtheDIC.TheSIDEBLINDZONE
ALERTONoptionwillnotbeselectable iftheconditions
fornormalsystemoperation arenotmet.Untilnormal
operating conditions forSBZAaremet,youshouldnot
relyuponSBZAwhiledriving.
WhentheSystemDoesNotSeemToWork
Properly
Occasional missedalertscanoccurundernormal
circumstances andwillincrease inwetconditions.
Thesystemdoesnotneedtobeserviced duetoan
occasional missedalert.Thenumberofmissedalerts
willincrease withincreased rainfall orroadspray.
SBZAErrorMessages
Thefollowing messages mayappearintheDIC:
IftheSBZAdisplays donotlightupwhenthesystemis
onandvehicles areintheblindzone,thesystemmay
needservice. Takethevehicletoyourdealer.
SIDEBLINDZONEALERTSYSTEMOFF: This
messageindicates thatthedriverhasturnedthe
systemoff.
SBZAisdesignedtoignorestationary objects; however,
thesystemmayoccasionally lightupduetoguard
rails,signs,trees,shrubs,andotherstationary objects.
Thisisnormalsystemoperation, thevehicledoesnot
needservice.
SIDEBLINDZONESYSTEMUNAVAILABLE: This
messageindicates thattheSBZAsystemisdisabled
becausethesensorisblockedandcannotdetect
vehicles intheblindzone.Thesensormaybeblocked
bymud,dirt,snow,ice,slush,orevenheavy
rainstorms. Thismessagemayalsoactivate during
heavyrainorduetoroadspray.Thevehicledoesnot

SBZAdoesnotoperatewhentheleftorrightcornersof
therearbumperarecoveredwithmud,dirt,snow,ice,
