Thisvehiclehassafetybeltpretensioners forfront
outboard occupants. Although thesafetybelt
pretensioners cannotbeseen,theyarepartofthe
safetybeltassembly.Theycanhelptightenthesafety
beltsduringtheearlystagesofamoderate tosevere
frontalornearfrontalcrashifthethreshold conditions
forpretensioner activation aremet.And,ifyourvehicle
hassideimpactairbags, safetybeltpretensioners can
helptightenthesafetybeltsinasidecrash.
Adjusttheheightsothattheshoulder portion ofthebelt
iscentered ontheshoulder.Thebeltshouldbeaway
fromthefaceandneck,butnotfallingofftheshoulder.
Impropershoulder beltheightadjustment couldreduce
theeffectiveness ofthesafetybeltinacrash.
Presstherelease
button(A)andmove
theheightadjuster to
thedesiredposition.
Theadjuster canbe
movedupbypushing
upontheshoulder belt
guide.
Pretensioners workonlyonce.Ifthepretensioners
activate inacrash,theywillneedtobereplaced, and
probably othernewpartsforthevehicle's safetybelt

RearSafetyBeltComfortGuides
Thisvehiclemayhaverearshoulder beltcomfort
guidesforeachoutsidepassenger position inthe
rearseat.Ifnot,theyareavailable throughyourdealer.
Theguidesmayprovideaddedsafetybeltcomfortfor
olderchildrenwhohaveoutgrown boosterseatsandfor
someadults.Wheninstalled thecomfortguidepositions
theshoulder beltawayfromtheneckandhead.
Aftertheadjuster issettothedesiredposition, tryto
moveitdownwithoutpressing thereleasebuttonto
makesureithaslockedintoposition.
