AutomaticDimmingRearviewMirror
PressOorAUTO3,depending   onthevehicle,  to
turnthecompassonoroff.
Thevehiclehasanautomatic   dimminginsiderearview
mirrorwithacompassdisplay.Automatic   dimming
reducestheglareoflightsfrombehindthevehicle.
Thedimmingfeaturecomesonandtheindicator    light
illuminates eachtimethevehicleisstarted.
O(On/Off): PressandholdOforaboutthreeseconds
toturnthedimmingfeatureandcompassdisplayon
oroff.
Whentheignitionandthecompassfeatureareon,after
afewseconds,  themirrorwilldisplaythecompass
heading. Thecompassautomatically calibrates asthe
vehicleisdriven.
CompassCalibration
AUTO3(VehicleswithIntellibeam™):    Press
andholdforapproximately  threesecondstoturnthe
compassdisplayonoroff.SeeExteriorLamps    on
page 4‑25 formoreinformation.
Ifafterafewseconds,   thedisplaydoesnotshowthe
correctdirection, (forexample,NforNorth),theremay
beastrongmagnetic  fieldinterfering withthecompass.
Interference canbecausedbyamagnetic   antenna
mount,magneticnotepadholderorasimilar
magnetic item.
CleaningtheMirror
Thecompasscanbeplacedincalibration    mode
Donotsprayglasscleanerdirectly   onthemirror.
Useasofttoweldampened   withwater.
manually bypressing andholdingOorAUTO3,
depending onthevehicle, untilaCisshowninthe
compassdisplay.
Thecompasscanbecalibrated   bydrivingthevehiclein
circlesat5mph(8km/h)orlessuntilthedisplayreadsa
direction.
