Makesurethefuelcapisfullyinstalled. SeeFilling
theTank on page 6‑8.Thediagnostic system
candetermine ifthefuelcaphasbeenleftoffor
improperly installed. Alooseormissingfuelcap
allowsfueltoevaporate intotheatmosphere. Afew
drivingtripswiththecapproperly installed should
turnthelightoff.
Ifoneormoreoftheseconditions occurs,change
thefuelbrandused.Itwillrequireatleastone
fulltankoftheproperfueltoturnthelightoff.

Ifnoneoftheabovehavemadethelightturnoff,
yourdealercancheckthevehicle. Thedealerhasthe
propertestequipment anddiagnostic toolstofixany
mechanical orelectrical problems thatmighthave
developed.

puddleofwater,thevehicle's electrical system
mightbewet.Thecondition isusuallycorrected
whentheelectrical systemdriesout.Afewdriving
