needed.However,chromepolishmaybeusedon
chromeorstainless steeltrim,ifnecessary.
Occasional waxingormildpolishing ofthevehicleby
handmaybenecessary toremoveresiduefromthe
paintfinish.Approvedcleaning products canbe
obtained fromyourdealer.
Usespecialcarewithaluminumtrim.Toavoid
damaging protective trim,neveruseautoorchrome
polish,steamorcausticsoaptocleanaluminum.
Acoatingofwax,rubbedtohighpolish,is
recommended forallbrightmetalparts.
Ifthevehiclehasabasecoat/clearcoat paintfinish,the
clearcoat givesmoredepthandglosstothecolored
basecoat. Alwaysusewaxesandpolishesthatare
non-abrasive andmadeforabasecoat/clearcoat
paintfinish.
Notice: Machinecompounding oraggressive
polishing onabasecoat/clearcoat paintfinishmay
damageit.Useonlynon-abrasive waxesand
polishesthataremadeforabasecoat/clearcoat
paintfinishonthevehicle.
WindshieldandWiperBlades
Cleantheoutsideofthewindshield withglasscleaner.
Cleantherubberbladesusingalintfreeclothorpaper
towelsoakedwithwindshield washerfluidoramild
detergent. Washthewindshield thoroughly when
cleaning theblades.Bugs,roadgrime,sap,anda
buildupofvehiclewash/waxtreatments maycause
wiperstreaking. Replacethewiperbladesiftheyare
wornordamaged.
Foreignmaterials suchascalciumchlorideandother
salts,icemeltingagents,roadoilandtar,treesap,bird
droppings, chemicals fromindustrial chimneys, etc.,can
damagethevehicle's finishiftheyremainonpainted
surfaces. Washthevehicleassoonaspossible.
Ifnecessary,usenon-abrasive cleaners thatare
markedsafeforpaintedsurfaces toremoveforeign
matter.
