Alignthetwohingeslocatedontheinboardsideof
thecover.
2.
Pushthecoverslightly downandtowardsthe
enginetoengagethetabsinthehingesandalign
thetwoscrews.
3.
Tightenthetwoscrewsonthetopoftheengineair
cleaner/filter cover.
{WARNING:
Operating theenginewiththeaircleaner/filter off
cancauseyouorotherstobeburned.Theair
cleanernotonlycleanstheair;ithelpstostop
flamesiftheenginebackfires. Usecautionwhen
workingontheengineanddonotdrivewiththe
aircleaner/filter off.

Removethetwoscrewsonthetopoftheengine
aircleaner/filter cover.
Liftuptheoutboard sideofthecoveratanangle
whilepullingtowardyou.Thisisnecessary dueto
thetwohingeslocatedontheinboardsideofthe
cover.
Notice: Iftheaircleaner/filter isoff,dirtcaneasily
getintotheengine,whichcoulddamageit.Always
havetheaircleaner/filter inplacewhenyouare
driving.

Removetheengineaircleaner/filter andanyloose
debristhatmaybefoundintheaircleanerbase.
Inspectorreplacetheairfilterelement.
