Ifanoverheated enginecondition existsandthe
messageENGINEOVERHEATEDSTOPENGINE
isdisplayed, anoverheat protection modewhich
alternates firinggroupsofcylinders helpsprevent
enginedamage.Inthismode,youwillnoticealossin
powerandengineperformance. Thisoperating mode
allowsyourvehicletobedriventoasafeplaceinan
emergency.Drivingextended miles(km)and/ortowing
atrailer intheoverheatprotection modeshouldbe
avoided.
Notice: Afterdrivingintheoverheated engine
protection operating mode,toavoidenginedamage,
allowtheenginetocoolbeforeattempting any
repair.Theengineoilwillbeseverely degraded.
Repairthecauseofcoolantloss,changetheoil
andresettheoillifesystem.SeeEngineOilon

WhentoCheckPowerSteeringFluid
Itisnotnecessary toregularly checkpowersteering
fluidunlessyoususpectthereisaleakinthesystemor
youhearanunusualnoise.Afluidlossinthissystem
couldindicate aproblem.Havethesysteminspected
andrepaired.
