Therearepartsoftheairbagsysteminseveralplaces
aroundthevehicle. Yourdealerandtheservicemanual
haveinformation aboutservicing thevehicleandthe

Athicklayerofadditional material, suchasablanket
orcushion, oraftermarket equipment suchasseat
covers,seatheaters, andseatmassagers canaffect
howwellthepassenger sensingsystemoperates.
Werecommend thatyounotuseseatcoversorother
aftermarket equipment exceptwhenapproved by
GMforyourspecific vehicle. SeeAddingEquipment to

information aboutmodifications thatcanaffecthowthe
systemoperates.

Forupto10secondsaftertheignition isturnedoff
andthebatteryisdisconnected, anairbagcanstill
inflateduringimproper service. Youcanbeinjured
ifyouareclosetoanairbagwhenitinflates. Avoid
yellowconnectors. Theyareprobably partofthe
airbagsystem.Besuretofollowproperservice
procedures, andmakesurethepersonperforming
workforyouisqualified todoso.
