5. If,afterreinstalling thechildrestraint andrestarting
thevehicle, theonindicator isstilllit,turnthe
vehicleoff.Thenslightly reclinethevehicle
Ifachildrestraint hasbeeninstalled andtheon
indicator islit:
seatbackandadjusttheseatcushion,ifadjustable,
tomakesurethatthevehicleseatbackisnot
pushingthechildrestraint intotheseatcushion.

Turnthevehicleoff.
Alsomakesurethechildrestraint isnottrapped
underthevehicleheadrestraint. Ifthishappens,
adjusttheheadrestraint. SeeHeadRestraints on
page 2‑2.
Removethechildrestraint fromthevehicle.
Removeanyadditional itemsfromtheseatsuchas
blankets, cushions, seatcovers,seatheaters,
orseatmassagers.

Restartthevehicle.

Reinstall thechildrestraint following thedirections
provided bythechildrestraint manufacturer and
refertoSecuringaChildRestraint intheRight
FrontSeatPosition onpage2‑54.
Iftheonindicator isstilllit,securethechildinthe
childrestraint inarearseatposition inthevehicle,
andcheckwithyourdealer.
