Whenthevehicleisstarted, bothoutsidemirrordisplays
willbrieflycomeontoindicate thatthesystemis
operating. Whiledrivingforward, theleftorrightside
mirrorSBZAdisplaywilllightupifavehicleisdetected
inthatblindzone.Ifyouactivate aturnsignalanda
vehiclehasbeendetected onthesameside,theSBZA
displaywillflashtogiveyouextrawarningnotto
changelanes.
SBZADetectionZones
TheSBZAsensorcoversazoneofapproximately one
laneoverfrombothsidesofthevehicle, 3.5m(11ft).
Thiszonestartsateachsidemirrorandgoesback
approximately 5m(16ft).Theheightofthezoneis
approximately between0.5m(1.5ft)and2.0m(6ft)off
theground.
SBZAdisplays donotcomeonwhilethevehicleis
approaching orpassingothervehicles. Atspeeds
greaterthen20mph(32km/h),SBZAdisplays may
comeonwhenavehicleyouhavepassedremains
inordropsbackintothedetection zone.
