suretosecurethetraileranddisconnect    itfromthe
vehiclebeforechangingthetire.
Driveslowlyuntilthetrailerisclearofthechocks.
Stopandhavesomeonepickupandstorethe
chocks.
MaintenanceWhenTrailerTowing
Thevehicleneedsservicemoreoftenwhenpullinga
trailer.SeeScheduled  Maintenance on page 7‑3 for
moreinformation. Thingsthatareespecially  important
intrailer operation areautomatic transmission fluid,
engineoil,belts,coolingsystemandbrakesystem.Itis
agoodideatoinspectthesebeforeandduringthetrip.
Checkperiodically toseethatallhitchnutsandbolts
aretight.
