Thecourtesy lampsarelocatedontheheadliner above
therearseat.Theselampscomeonbyturningthe
instrument panelbrightness knobfullyclockwise or
whenanydoorisopenedanditisdarkoutside.Puddle
lampsarelocatedonthebottomofthefrontandrear
doortrim.
Thisfeatureprohibits dimmingofthedigitaldisplays
andbacklighting duringdaylight hourswhenthekeyis
intheignition andtheheadlamps areon.Thisfeatureis
fullyautomatic. Whenthelightsensorreadsdarkness
outsideandtheparkinglampsareactive,thedigital
displays canbeadjusted byturning theinstrument
panelbrightness knobcounterclockwise todimand
clockwise tobrighten lighting.
Professional vehicles haveanadditional domelamp
andalsooperalamps.

EntryLighting
Thereadinglampsarelocatedontheoverhead console
ontheheadliner andinthereardooropening. These
lampscomeonautomatically whenanydoorisopened
anditisdarkoutside.
Thisfeatureturnsonthecourtesy lampsandthe
backlighting forthedoorswitches andtheexterior lamp
controlwhenadoorisopenedoriftheremotekeyless
entrytransmitter unlockbuttonispressed. Ifactivated
duetothetransmitter,thelighting remainsactivefor
about40seconds. Sincetheentrylighting systemuses
thelightsensor,itmustbedarkoutsideinorderforthe
courtesy lampstoturnon.Thecourtesy lampsturnoff
approximately 25secondsafterthelastdoorisclosed.
Theywilldimtooffiftheignition keyisturnedtoON/
RUN,orimmediately deactivate ifthepowerlocksare
activated.
Formanualoperation, pressthebuttontoturnthemon.
Pressitagaintoturnthemoff.
Ifthereadinglampsarelefton,theyautomatically shut
off10minutesaftertheignition hasbeenturnedoff.
